My Adobe flash player appears to be working. However, I cannot see your flash version. Any suggestions?
1. Visit this link > http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_15507 to determine your flash version, and whether or not flash is successfully installed.
2. Download and run Adobe’s latest uninstaller: http://www.adobe.com/go/14157
3. Before reinstalling Flash Player, please check the following settings:
Internet Explorer ActiveX settings
Although your browser security settings should be chosen by you or by your system Administrator, the Medium: Default Level allows you to view Flash content. For any Custom Level, ensure that both the "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" options are enabled. (Enable or Prompt both work).
To view your security level:
a. Open Internet Explorer.
b. Choose Tools then Internet Options.
c. Select the Security tab.
d. Choose Internet.
e. Ensure that the "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" options are enabled.
If you are having trouble installing, make sure that your Internet Explorer security level is not set to High or to a custom level which does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.
All web browsers must be closed
Quit all running applications, including all Internet Explorer windows, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger or other messengers. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make sure that no applications that might use Flash Player are still in memory.
4. To install the newest flash player, visit this link:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
a. Click the “Download Now” button.
b. Save the installer to your desktop, and wait for it to download completely.
c. An installer icon will appear on your desktop. Double-click on it.
d. You may be prompted to close open browser windows to continue with the installation.
5. Repeat step 1 only, to verify that flash is installed properly.
6. Hopefully, flash content will now be available.
I have had a problem getting your audio files to play on my computer.
First, please make sure that your browser is not blocking pop-up windows. If this does not solve the problem, please refer to the response for “My Adobe flash player appears to be working. However, I cannot see your flash version. Any suggestions?”
I tried to subscribe to your podcast. However it directs me to the iTunes store, and I do not use iTunes. Is there anyway to access the .xml file for your podcast without going through iTunes?
The audio/video I was viewing on the website stopped playing before it was completely finished.
The audio and video streams usually take a few minutes to completely finish loading or “buffer.”
In the flash Media Center, you should see two bars. One bar is dark grey, representing the amount of video that has buffered, and one bar is light grey, representing the play progress of the video. If the light grey bar ever catches up to the dark grey bar, the video will stop streaming. Depending on your connection, the dark grey bar should finish before the light grey bar catches up to it. If it’s not, then you may need to pause the video for a couple of minutes until the buffer indicator has made it farther along.
This will take more or less time depending on your internet speed and whether or not you have a broadband internet connection. If you do have one of the faster broadband connections, it may be worth checking with your Internet Service Provider, to see if they can find any problems in your data connection.
None of these responses have correctly answered my question or solved my problem.
Please email webmaster@ligonier.org with as much information as you can about the problem you are experiencing, including your operating system and web browser version.
How can I listen to the podcast on a Linux system?
