Local Author Receives Prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award
Orlando, Florida, July 16, 2007 – Bestselling author and theologian Dr. R.C. Sproul became the 24th recipient of the prestigious Evangelical Christian Publishing Association’s Charles “Kip” Jordon Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Christian Retail Show (“ICRS”) in Atlanta July 8–12, 2007. This award, named in honor of Charles “Kip” Jordon, publishing veteran of more than 25 years and former publisher of Word Publishing, is given to individuals each year for their exceptional contributions to the publishing industry. On July 9, 2007, Dr. R.C. Sproul was presented with this award.
“I was honored,” says Sproul. “It is a profoundly humbling experience to get something like this. I never expected it and it was very gracious of them to bestow this honor on me.” Sproul joins the ranks of previous recipients such as the Reverend Billy Graham, Dr. James Dobson, Charles Swindoll, and Joni Eareckson-Tada, to name a few.
