The February issue of Tabletalk considers spiritual awakening. God rouses individuals from their spiritual deadness by the work of His Holy Spirit, and these awakenings sometimes occur in the hearts of great numbers of people in particular locations. Historical periods have even been designated, at least in the history of the United States, as "Great Awakenings." However, these movements have often caused confusion about what true conversion is and how the Holy Spirit works in and through history. This issue of Tabletalk considers spiritual awakening, true conversion, and the work of the Holy Spirit in drawing people to Christ and enabling believers to grow in holiness.
